Yes! The captain will be accompanied by a senior deckhand. Our senior deckhands have expressed interest in maritime and look to develop their skills by teaching students the fundamentals.

All sessions are guided by assessment of weather conditions. When necessary, instruction may shift to our onboard cabin, transition to a partner location within Chelsea Piers, or be cancelled for the day —ensuring both safety and the highest quality learning experience.

There are two primary packages to choose from. Certain discounts are available. (Priority Enrollment, Bring a Buddy, and Book the Boat)

Absolutely NOT! There will be no swimming at New Light Sailing under any circumstance.

Students will be given uniform T-shirts, water bottles, and backpacks. Also, included will be the on-board snacks and water. As well, as sunscreen and hats for UV protection.
